XLB is an XForms based dock used to launch programs. XLB2 is an xlib based dock with menus, icons, tooltips, plugins and a collection of small GTK+ applications.

Requirements: (XLB2)

• bash for configure.sh script
• Imlib library
• Gtk+ 1.2 or 2.0 library for tools

Tested Platforms: (XLB2)

• Linux and FreeBSD
• Window managers: enlightenment, metacity (gnome) and xfwm (xfce4)
  • tooltips don't work with fluxbox
  • twm doesn't obey the size hints for position or the motif hints for no window decorations

• Vertical or horizontal with eight different screen positions.
• Small and large sizes.
• Scalable icons.
• Tooltips.
• Graphical configuration.

• Cell types:
• Executable cells with optional icon.
• Dual executable mini-cells with optional icons.
• Menu cells with optional icon.
• Line separator cells.
• Plugin cells for dynamically loaded plugins.

• Plugins:
• Clock with 12/24 hour time and date, currently only supports digital.
• Volume control for left and right channels.

• Tools:
• xlb-system (was gtk-ps).
